I am interested in transcriptional control mechanisms in early embryonic development. While genetic methods are my weapons of choice, no single gene does anything by itself. My research philosophy is thus best described by “I’m interested in the bakery, not just the cake”. Over the years I’ve worked on several model organisms, most notably sea urchins, mice, and zebrafish.
